6-29-09 Walk

my walk

No run today, just a quick walk. I'm still recuperating from our fun and hot weekend on the houseboat!

playlist
I had a very enjoyable time listening to Romans. Good book with many hard things to understand.

Lucy did pretty good, even though I took her on the bike path. She is very easily distracted still. If you look at the graph at the top you'll see the dip, which represents when I stopped. Lucy saw a bird and tried to eat it...

Temperature wise, it was muggy and on its way to getting very hot!

You know your day is gonna not be good when it is almost 70 degrees at 6am! I'll be drinking lots of Diet Pepsi, oops I mean water!

6-23-09 Run

my 3k run

Only had time for a 3k run tonight, but at least I got out there and did it! In under 22 minutes I might add!

The run was good, breathing was alright, and I ran without Lucy. The playlist of the night was Van Halen and I'm not quite sure I liked it. I LOVE Van Halen, but the music was inspiring to run to for some reason.

VH playlist
I wasn't able to snap a picture of the temperature, but it was probably around 85 degrees at 6:45pm.

6-19-09 Run

I'm adding this screenshot, just to get a picture than the little flash graph. I think I might do this from now on.

ugh...that about says it all! It was muggy and my shin hurt and Lucy was distracted at every bug, bird and turd she saw that it was amazing. I actually ended up walking most of this one...

Hyper Static Union is a great band to run to! Nice and melodic rock with some great lyrics! I'd check those bad boys out if I were you!

Even though 66 degrees doesn't seem hot, it was darn muggy out. I'm so glad we're going to the beach today!

6-17-09 Run

Had a good run/walk with my buddy Chris. He is the master and I the humble student!

Def Leppard's Hysteria was the album of choice to run to tonight. Nice and melodic and not very heavy. Again, it pushed me to run lightly. The music didn't clobber me over the head.

The weather is still very nice. It is supposed to get very hot, so we'll see how that slows me down!

6-14-09 run

Untitled

Great run today! I had a lot of different factors going for me today.

I ran to a much more low key playlist: Kutless' Strong Tower. The music was like a gentle push forward, not an overwhelming beat down. I was able to concentrate and was Church all by myself and Jesus. Twas very nice!

I got my breathing under control right from the get-go. I really really think that is the key!

It was much cooler:

I also bought a much heavier leash for Lucy and she stayed by my side almost the entire run. No more pulling and pushing her!

And I took a small bottle of water which I polished off about 1/2 way.

6-12-09 Run

Skillet was on the playlist of the day. I love their music, but it wasn't a great list to run to. I think I had the volume up too loud. The music just didn't give me the energy I was looking for.

If I can get my breathing right at the beginning of the run, that makes all the difference in the world. I didn't this run, so I was puffing and huffing away.

It was warm outside as well. Not the best run, but at least I got out and did it!
